Mindful Moves...Dance for the Wise
is senior adult interpretive dance that freely explores body movements by incorporating thematic concepts, eclectic music, and visualizations. Based on the philosophies of dance pioneers, Liz Lerman, Anna Halprin, and Anne Gilbert Green, our program focus is to tap the creative element of dance while motivating movement. We believe that there is a relationship between dance and the well being of mind, body, spirit.
Mindful Moves...Dance Inclusion
embodies the same elements as Mindful Moves....dance for the Wise except classes are structured for mobility restricted elders. All movements are executed while seated, but allow for those who can stand in place to execute them while standing.
Mindful Moves...Dancing through Parkinson's
is an hour dance class based on the DanceforPD three segment structure. Curriculum will utilize Brain-Compatible Dance Lessons.
Mindful Moves...Yoga and Relaxation
This program started via a Zoom Format and will carry over to an in-person program once the Covid 19 epidemic allows for safe gathering . Specifically designed to help those with Parkinson's reap the benefits of an adaptive Yoga program.
